2019-ben jöhet a kabrió Lexus LC

Alig jelent meg, máris arról pletykálnak, hogy hamarosan megújul a Lexus kétajtós zászlóshajója, az LC luxuskupé. A bennfentesek szerint azonban jóval többről lesz szó, mint egyszerű ráncfelvarrásról.

Utoljára nyolc évvel ezelőtt kínált felsőkategóriás kabrió modellt a Lexus. Az SC430 óta két látványos tanulmányautóval is pedzegette a témát a Toyota prémium márkája – a 2008-ban leleplezett Lexus LF-A Roadster Concept a későbbi szupersportkocsi számos előtanulmánya közül volt az utolsó, míg a Lexus LF-C2 Concept 2014-ből a jelenlegi LC széria egyik előfutára volt –, ám azóta sem pótolta semmi az SC modell után maradt űrt. Most azonban kiváló alkalom kínálkozik, hogy ezen változtassanak.

A japán Response magazin ugyanis tudni véli, hogy az LC kupé 2019-ben esedékes modellfrissítése alkalmából a Lexus bemutatja az LF-C2 szériaverzióját, azaz az LC kabrió modellt. A típus 2020-ban kerülhet piacra, méghozzá vászontetővel – a lenyitható keménytetők ma már kevéssé kívánatosak a felsőbb kategóriákban, annak ellenére, hogy egy megfelelően megformált alumínium vagy szénszálas héjjal könnyebb volna megismételni az LC kupé ikonikus vonalvezetését.

Hogy mennyire jól állna a tetőtlenség az LC-nek, azt remekül mutatja a folyóirat belsős információkra támaszkodó fantáziarajza. Ha már modellfrissítésről van szó, a lap nem állt meg az utastér kinyitásánál – vadonatúj orrkialakítást rajzolt az autónak. Megőrizte a legfőbb stílusjegyeket: az orsó alakú hűtőmaszkot, a háromszögletű fényszórót és a bumerángot mintázó, LED-es nappali fényeket, ugyanakkor utóbbi kettőt átrendezve a mostaninál is merészebb, sportosabb fizimiskát varázsolt a Lexus hátsókerék-hajtású padlólemezén nyugvó gran turismóra.

Ezzel párhuzamosan megnagyobbította a lökhárító sarkaiba, illetve a hátsó kerékdob előtti zugba metszett légbeömlőket, ami a motorháztetőbe vágott dupla légcserenyílással együtt egy kifejezetten nagyteljesítményű modell érkezését vetíti előre. A rég várt LC F modell feltételezett motorján (600 lóerős, négyliteres V8-as turbómotor) kívül egy másik újdonság érkezését is előrejelzi a japán lap. Szerintük egy 450 lóerős, 3.0 literes V6-os turbómotorral erősíthet az LC, ez azonban innen, Európából kevéssé hangzik kívánatosnak: egy kiélezett, pörgős középkategóriás sportmotor helyett jobban illene az autóhoz a jelenlegi választék bármely tagja, akár az LC500 nyolchengeres, 471 lóerős szívómotorja, vagy az LC500h 3.5 literes V6-osra épülő, 354 lóerős hibrid hajtáslánca.
